Farms produce food, which is required to feed population. 1 unit of food can feed 100 population for 1 month.
Farming Districts[]
Farms are easily conquered by enemy units and should be put in safe areas. However, farms don't have to be completely defenseless. When building farms, there will be gaps between them - space which could be occupied by houses. Putting houses not only provides some tax income from unused land, but also adds to the defensiveness of the area as houses are much harder to capture than farms. In order to create a farming district, first click build farms on a substation, and then once it's completed, click build houses, the result should look like the following.
